We've got good news and better news. The good news is that we've accomplished quite a bit this summer, and the better news is that there are only a few projects left to accomplish. Below is a list of what's left to do and a revised schedule for 2005.
SAVE THESE DATES:
1) Sunday, October 16th - the day AFTER the OFOA Oktoberfest.
- We need help building additional boat/canoe racks on top of existing racks by the pavilion. Mark Mitchell has detailed plans. Please bring wrenches, drills, and your chop saws. New boat/canoe racks have been paid for and are in demand.
- Replace the "Keep Gate Closed" sign at the top of road to the pavilion.
- Find the lock to the electrical box at the pavilion.
- Replace the shed lock bolts.
2) Move dumpster and request recycle bins. I sent a letter to AAA on 9/16 to this avail.
3) Early November or late Oct. plant rain gardens. An announcement will be distributed for this date.
4) November 13th: Clearing common areas near the pavilion. Bring your clippers, weed wackers, loppers, and gloves on 11/13 to help clear a view to the river and clean up the weeds.
5) Pruning and maintenance of the corner gardens including fall plantings and mulch. Tom Harley will take care of this task, but any help is welcome!
6) Install wood engraved directional signs hand crafted by Mark Mitchell. Wait until you see them! We'll need help installing them throughout the trail system. Further instructions to follow.
Last but not least, if you see Bill Johnson, please thank him for mowing the blue trails.
