There were two incidents of vandalism at the Pavilion over the Columbus Day weekend. The first occured Friday evening, Oct 10. There was damage to two of the new picnic tables, the prot-a-jon was turned over and rolls of toilet paper and other trash were strewn throughout the area. Also folding tables, charirs and other equipment rented for the Octoberfest were thrown into the woods and the river. Potential incriminating evidence was found at the scene. Prince William County Police were notified and an investigation has been initiiated.
The second incident occurred Sunday evening, Oct 12. The port-a-jon was burned to the ground. Police and Fire reports were filed. An arson investigation has also been initiated.
